my mana is more secret than yours

ahhhh, soundtrax....
....

whats that? its a little update! just a tiny one! but its full of juicy goodness. i'll make you want more!

i got the rest of my parts for the circuit in. But i forgot i don't have connecting wire, oh noses! so i went downtown today, skimmed through the mall, and got myself some connecting wire and a pair of wireless headphones (its something i've been wanting for lords knows how long. especially for one such as I who walks almost everywhere, i hate snagging cables n whatnot.)

i also went to FYE (the FYE up here stands for "For you, Everything!") in which every product in the store has a magnetic detector strip. on the outside. on the OUTSIDE of the SHRINKWRAPPING!!! its like a candy store. and they have a nice anime collection (it looks like they bought out some old store, they have VHS of stuff i haven't seen since i saw eric lindenblad last. flame of recca? i think so.) So i picked up "blue submarine no. 6" which is something i thought someone i knew was looking for a long time ago, yet was never around. That or it was on cartoon network long time ago too. Either way, it was directed by the same guy who does paranoia agent (who also did perfect blue, which i'll get next time.) and they also have the complete jubei chan set!! SWEEEET!!! that was a funny series, i tell you what! i hope the blue sub thingy is good, it looked interesting on the shelf. we shall see.

and i also got a cd. Now don't get me wrong, i love radiohead. I love em! and in that love i find it hard to listen to covers of their music, because who can match radiohead? i used to be such a purist, always downing covers. This was a long time ago before i heard of "me first and the gimme gimme's" and nowadays i'll give anything at least one listen before throwing it away. Like the string quartet tribute to radiohead i got last time. it was....asstacular. They ruined my favorite song (my iron lung) and massacred other goods ones (paranoid android and national anthem). so it looked like my love of strings and radiohead could not merge. could anything accomplish such a combination?

i was doubtful, but i had to give this new cd a try. Its a bluegrass tribute to radiohead. violin, mandolin, banjo, with optional stuff in different songs.

IT IS SO AWESOME!!!! they might have done a tad better job on national anthem, but i don't care. the cd is so fucking good, they capture the same feel of the songs they do, and their paranoid android rivals that one guy who does it on the piano. Radiohead is musical genius. so good that others can pick it up and play it and it still sounds good. Like those classical composers of olde, with their harpsichord and french horns, their music gets redone all the time. Radiohead shall remain throughout time as such.

the actual tone of the cd reminded me of firefly.

so my evening shall consist of finishing the circuit, and watching blue submarine no.6

:D also, my journal has been getting anonymous spammed, so i'm gonna ahve to disable anonymous posting soon. this is the first warning, don't worry, you'll know when you have to sign up. or just email me.
