seriously thats a good simpsons episode, lol....
we're pretty much there.
...
in daydreaming about spreading the word i just got instructions on how to spell, i imagined getting some of that free land they offer in states where no one lives (like nebraska), and opening up an old school, old west store, where i would package this new age tech (err, word) in old brown packages, tied up with string n stuff. Properly insulated and whatnot on the inside, but the outside would just have that classic feel to it. The end approach is something akin to having fun, in a firefly/cowboy bebop kind of way. Who would appreciate it? i would!
But seriously, sure we can do a lot with it over here, but what about places where people are spending 4x as much on gas? Whats that, europe, i could be king there? Why would i want to be king in europe? That place has bad publicity for kings (read about the georges, for example.) But seriously, the acceptance ratio might be a bit higher in other places.
a ninja approach would be to just steal cars n boats, refit them, and return them to their owners, unscathed and upscaled. ninja elf i guess. for some sort of wacked out ninja christmas.
alternate ninja tactics would be to steal something ridiculously large, or to find abandoned stuff that doesn't run, and refit them as well. Then turn them into transformers. Then get them to merge to be enormous. Then set devastator loose on, say, my enemies for example. should i have any. Or i could put him in as some sort of crazy challenge in my coliseum.
...
on a more seriouser note, actual use of said land (free stuff) could amount to building little "power centers" around, and having people plug into it instead of the local grid, or even better, just plug IT into the local grid and get the power companies to buy it too. One could conceivably place many of these around for some sort of continuous income if capital was needed for something. like ya know, having fun all the time with little to no disregard to consequences. lol! just kidding. except for the money part, could be useful.
...
outside of the money part, it makes it completely possible to set up shop, anywhere ON THE PLANET, and still use conventional and normal tools. Like you could build a house, per say, anywhere you wanted, provided you had water (any water), and enough geographical stability to support said structure. and the means to actually build it. The nice part? One could build their own place in a short amount of time had they the know-how of building all the useful bits or acquiring them. Like that forgotten tech guy who builds stuff out of ginormous concrete blocks. One could build their own little hideaway, anywhere, if they had access to the rocks and such, much much cheaper than having someone else do it for you. Hell, you could just drop $$ on a little portable home, some prefab thingy, and just drop it anywhere you wanted. the island life is sounding a little funner. except the internet would be hard to get out there without paying for the service....
unless we started buy buildign little "nodes" or caches, self-powering giant sized wireless signal boosters. lol floaty ones for the ocean too, and everyone on the planet could be on the net whenever they wanted...lol not that too many penguins would need it really. But even if i just built a few range extenders out to wherever i live, thatd be funny. of course this is a bit off for sure, i plan to travel a bit...which means that first capital idea sounds like a good plan.
....
in case you aren't following, i tend to supershoot to the future over ideas, to see how they might pan out if used in different ways or applied extremely efficient, or absurdly not. For instance, self powered ferris wheels. good luck. or a booby trapped temple or dungeon or something. why? if yuo built it, what would be the fun of running through it to the prize you probably had to hide there in the first place. itd be something youd have to do for someone else really. so if you got more than one person, you cuold try n outdo the other i guess. but only after superpowers or we get invincible robot bodies. wheres the fun in dying, i ask you? point of no return? well, its not on my todo list anytime soon, thats for certain. lets get a working prototype down first.
then we can add more tubes to the cell (at decreasing amperage, no less, interesting no? The more you add, the better it gets.) Of course i love the idea of having clear tubes, who wouldn't want to watch it? After getting a working machine, its the next step to calculate how much gas is needed to run an engine (some sort of universal equation of how to tune a fuel mixer dpending on how much fuel the car burns would be useful, that or some sort of referencable index if nothing else.) After that, its basic refitting of some parts so they work best with the new fuel (like exhaust parts made of stainless so they don't rust, etc). One would think that a delorean would be the best base for this....lol! i wish. i don't have 15k$ sitting around though. but any car should do. I have to reference my littler brother on the inner workings of cars fuel management systems to see how to make a mod like this the simplest, with fewest replacement parts. Like can we keep fuel injectors? or do we need to refit engines to just have the new impco fewl mixturizers? stuff like that.
i think the first and most readibly useable design will be to just retrofit a simple house generator. some yamaha or honda generator that will run a house, continuously. Then we just go around asking friends n family if they want to have them, probably 2 per house so one as a backup unit in case anyone we help out this way manages to break one. A few redundant safety features need to be applied to these generators, like bubblers n one-way valves n such to stop any type of feedback or explosions. other than that, it should be safe as pumpkin pie. and easy too....i cant' wait til my aunt gets home, i think shes my best bet for getting this to work.
i think im gonna see if theres any small, gas burning engines laying around. i think one of my cousins has some old RC cars that had little engines. i doubt there is any lawn equipment, except for that lawn mower.....hmmmm. those things are pretty compact but it might suffice. i was hoping for something like an edger or weed wacker. anywho, i type a lot. time to goto my garage mounted time-travelling device again.
PS: i reread BLAME! again, as i just managed to get all 4 so far. Crazy, crazy! the 4th one is off the wall.....im waiting for them to explain who that first couple of people was, and that first "town" n stuff. those first 2 books blew by really quick, and then it slowed down a tad for that 3rd one, and then the 4th one is all WACKADOO again. also, the comic store here has a LOT of deadpool comics. hooray! right, stay focused. i am!
