mixed remotions (fuck spoiler alerts.)

so i saw x3 at the midnite showing last nite. let me first say that i don't know what to say. but let me also say that don't read this if you don't want to spoil it.

i'm not a hardcore comic enthusiast when it comes to writing new stories for the screen, i understand some things work out better. Just don't totally recreate characters. And they kept all the same characters just wrote a new story for them, so that was cool.

i wanted to draw a picture called "the king and i" with a man on a thrown holding a mirror. Except that i have a history of not drawing very well. So i didn't attempt it. this made me think of other stuff...

the basic premise of the movie was thought provoking. It seemed to me a likely scenario. the entire basis of our socities is based on whos stronger. When it comes down to it, people get together (not necessarily with you included) and decide rules. then they enforce these rules with guns. what happens if you negate their power? Why they try and find ways to bring you down, of course! I had respect for magneto's point of view, to a degree, especially when viewed against charles', when concerning Jean. It represents the basic conflict between people of power. which made me want to vomit.

i also agreed with magnetos stance in general. he isn't apocalypse; he's not trying to kill off all the humans. he just wanted to be left the fuck alone. Humans are all fucking touchy all the time! and it was well represented in this movie. Both sides couldn't leave it alone either. Jean pops up with clas 5 powers (for those of you who don't know what classes are, let me break them down. i didn't make these up:

1: normal or low key: can move cheerios
2: slightly larger objects affected; books or warming the air noticeably but not staggeringly
3: can handle moving own body around or objects just as large; tables n chairs, this level is considered the first Impactful level when it comes to actually being able to manipulate the environment around you.
4: Large scale powers: able to move large objects or affect the environment like throw cars n buses or reading everyones mind in a movie theater.
5: All uphill from here; cataclysmic, godlike, you name it. They made this up to encapsulate everything past being able to throw cars around.

(The only footage i've ever seens is of a class 2, russian chick, and a few other people moving shit around on a desk. Whoooo.)

but back to what i was ranting on. You have a very powerful person pop up. People of conflicting views will both go to try and get this person on their side, to use their powers. Old as time man. So what happens? She just decides to kill them all, heck she wants to be left alone too.

Conversely, i think that common sense could have been used to direct the story a little differently. Magneto should have been able to know they were going to use plastic shit. They did it before. Why not again? A good general fights himself first. Sheez. And Wolverine, at the end! WTF!! why stabby stab her? Why not use one of those needles, if even hand held stabbity stab? Because she had damaged goods and you didn't want a hot, yet multiple personality disorder chick? WTF man? one of those personalities was about to get hot and bothered with you on a table man! WTF!!!! you lose. talk about misuse of power. He did it for the right reason though, i called that one out and pissed off the guy next to me for the umpteenth time in what was the Largest movie theater i've ever been in. It was gigantic, like that pixies song.

The way people live now is pretending that some people have godlike powers. ie, the government. They get the last word. Your boss gets the last word. You parents get the last word. Its do or die. Follow or imprisonment. WTF is wrong with people, i'm not sure. Maybe we are just bored. Millenia of boredom and we break down to just smacking eachother around.

Ethics of superpowers? wtf is different between using telekinesis or your hand to lift up someones skirt? You what ethics are? STUPID. People should take care of their own emotions. Who cares if that guy does something you don't like. The problem is with you, jumpy, not the kid with the blue tongue. Ethics of using superpowers? All actions should be based on simple rules. Be responsible for yourself, and be respectful to everyone else. This includes being respectful of the fact that other people have different thoughts and opinions than you. If someone is being disrespectful, you get this movie that i just saw.

A bunch of panty twisted lowlifes attacking other people with a hot air balloon of self-righteous reasons and armed with lethal injection.

I'm a pretty low key dude. The only people that i don't like are people that think they're better than you. Oh sure i don't have a problem with the betterness for instance nick and emily are superior artists when compared to me, i have a problem with the self-righteous attitude. professor umbridge chracter from that 5th harry potter book. People like that. Basically people that attack other people for personal reasons. Yeah, that about covers it. Defending yourself isn't what im talking about. someone walks down the street and a guy hits another guy with a wrench because the first guy hates the second guys haircut/skincolor/wrist watch then i would rather just shoot the first guy for it. Get him out of the genepool. Stop him from convincing other people that its ok to slap someone because you think something about them. Same goes for bullies. Hitting someone because you are bigger than them. Yeah that solves problems, you asshole. this line of thought is inherently flawed because how do you know this person doesn't have some sort of comeback? a gun? a witty remark that will deride your social standing? How does one truly gage the powers of another? You don't. You gage your own and act accordingly with respect to others.

OK i wouldn't shoot that guy in real life. Thats a little far. I guess it would behoove everyone in general to try and show this guy how pointless and empty what he just did was. Like i've said before, we are individual people sharing a common environment. The material world is our playground, but that line stops where skin starts. If you don't want people to fuck with you, don't fuck with other people. Inciting it by trying to act defensible because you are frightened is bringing your own fears upon you.

Which all boils down to thought-release and such because you reap what you sow (much as i hate to quote the bible sometimes, this is wisdom.) You hate someone, someones gonna hate you. You afraid of something, you summon it against you. Its one of the only common threads that i've seen so far with human thought and behaviour. It sounds like self-empowering craziness, but it has merit if you strip off all the other crap.

So people that worry about ethics worry about what to do with their own shit. This usually couples with fear of what other people will do with theirs. Other emotions share similar responses. Anger is assumptuous (err assumption making, is that a real word?) and (or is it presumptuos? whatever you get the idea) and instead of fearing what people might do, you just get angry at what you assume they will do.

Siiigh. The nice thing is that if people did start sprouting super powers, i would hope that no one would really try to start a conflict. The super powered people would win, hands down, i don't care what kind of science you have on your side until you start to copy what they have. Built in abilities are pretty top notch.

Other movie comments: loved juggernaut. hands down super awesome. the writing was pretty well done for everyones lines n such. Beast was a badass, i love how well they made him as well. Brawn, Brains? all he needs is goodlooks and he could be deadpool. ok deadpool doesn't have any brains. lol! but anyways. Colossus didn't get enough screen time, but thats understandable. Iceman looked good in his ice armor, i just wish i got see more of it.

I mean really. I don't go to see movies to watch stories that get me riled up about people punching other people in the face, i want to see people deomonstrating, even if not real, super powers and fighting and being smart and tactical about them. which is what my trilogy really centered on, besides good writing ;) lol!

the ending was pretty good, i saw the last part with the professor coming since the beginning of the movie (yay lets be obvious) and i appreciated the directing of the movie, even if simple. The director isn't there to direct the actors n shit, if you get a director like that you get asscandy for a movie. The director is there to direct the audience, smart people. though he used mostly misdirection to get you to go "oh, cool! it was just multiple man!"

All i want to see is a Cable & Deadpool movie. That story arc would provide a better basis for Man vs God scenarios. ah well. Doesn't look like they'll have Cable around unless they pull some crazy shit with the writing considering they killed his parents this movie. oh well.

i was glad they killed whiny ass cyclops off. Look buddy, whether she died or not isn't the point. If she did, getting over it without forgetting her is important. If she didn't, then she most certainly could take care of herself and she'll find you anyways. Either way, moping about it and being a stressed out dick isn't the best way to go about things. but whatever, its your call. It just affects whether pete parker invites you to spidermans wedding or not.

So yeah, like i tell everyone else. Love me or hate me, just as long its something.

This movie had some gnostic undertones which i kind of enjoyed. I liked the setup of having the one with All the Power being attemptedly motivated by two people: One trying to stop her and one trying to push her forward.

I also liked the takedown of magneto at the end. He was getting a little too touchy as well about homo sapiens, so he got brought back down to size to add some new perspective to him. Sure he didn't get knocked out completely, but it most certainly got his attention for a moment. How would he act later? who knows. it depends entirely on how he thinks, and since hes just a fictional character, it wuold be a long list. He could hate humans more if he sees it as painful to be without his powers. he could learn to see everyone as the same during his trek down I Have To Use My Hands lane.

The downside? Death wasn't used very well in this movie. It was like making fun of comics in general: one writer kills off a character, only to have this character magically ressurected later on. The impact of losing a character wasn't there. This was poor direction in this respect. When you kill someone they don't spread the drama and come back to life. Hell Jesus probably had some shit about this. People that didn't know he was killed (say the next town over) were probably more apt to say "hey man whats up, where you been past 3 days?" instead of "OMG ZOMBIE CHRIST!!!! AAAAGH!!!!!"

....

man its my day off. im out of guess what. lame. i tried to sleep in as much as possible. My first attempt had me up at 730 am. my second was 1pm. now what? i can't count on anyone writing emails of any type (or of any tripe) either saying hi, replying to ones already scripted, or just writing to tell me im a loony bin or that they liked my idea for whatever n whatnot.

its a tough line of thought, knowing that you can't govern anothers actions but wanting it a whole lot. So what does a person do? Ah yeah, thats why you just enjoy things. I almost forgot about that. Wow, i'm lame, while at the same time, completely awesome. lol.

Not to worry, not to worry....ahhh its nice to shuck all that nonsense. and just enjoy things. Thats right! See, thats what lifes about. well mine is. Enjoy the letters, and enjoy the anxious wait inbetween. Enjoy mountains, and clouds. Enjoy yourself. Why not? Just be careful your enjoyment is still responsible and respectful of other people, so they can enjoy stuff too. If you enjoy killing people, you're gonna get killed. Try n find other things to do, perhaps?

like smash bros, lol! enjoy playing and enjoy watching. so thats what it is. so i suggest having a nice day, thanks for reading (or not reading ;D )

PS: added later: oh yeah i wanted to share something else from last nite. The difference between resin and green is like the Incredible Hulk and Gray Hulk. head high and body high are weird, like resin just makes me really sleepy instead of trippy. then i wondered what stan lee did back in the day. Then i exclaimed, out loud mind you to myself, how dorky it was to compare sensations to comic book characters and to use it as an analogy. Oh well. I need guitar. Now.
