there are 2 worlds, see, and they exist in the same spot. Two different dimensions if you are so inclined. Lets say that when you die in one world, you go to the other one. So in one world you have all the humans, and in the other, all the "ghosts", ie our dead. What happens if the gods just hang out in the land of the dead? or are there for the usual reason? it would explain (ok not really, but provide a creative background for) ghosts and poltergeist like activity, and maybe even people doing stuff rather recently. Say a ghost god was just fucking around, like they have anything else to do.
